Finally got all the in-game achievements! I managed to beat the game with all three characters, and managed all the achievements with green.
Here's some tips:
1. Ignore the castle upgrade. It's useless for getting more stars.
2. To help increase fire rate with red and green, aim high with half to 3/4 power and let the arrows rain from above. Blue's fast enough to shoot more directly with 3/4 to full power.
3. Hitting multiple enemies at once is key, especially in later levels. Max red's bombs and blue's lightning asap. With green, combine poison with multishot and a high arc to get the enemies being shielded by the front lines.
4. Ignore red and blues' first special until the end. They're next to useless.
Skill priorities per character:
Red - Bomb, Speed, Power, Pierce, Castle.
Blue - Chain, Speed/Power, Critical, Castle.
Green - Poison, Speed, Multishot (lvl2), power, Multishot (lvl3), Castle.
