When a group of children go against their parents wishes and venture deep into the forest which surrounds their village, they get more than they bargained for. They soon realise that there are dangerous and mysterious things in the dark corners and crevices of the world.

The story of the Juggernauts begins in this RPG adventure! Battle the creatures of the forest, help out the villagers, and discover a few secrets here and there.

Edit: Difficulty lowered, this should fix some issues. We've also increased the starting level of the characters and given some extra items to begin with.

I appreciate the writing and RPG elements to the game. I'm a die hard fan of RPG's, but the issues with glitches just turned me off from continuing.

First, random encounters are way too common and the experience they give don't really feel like I'm making my progress. The map design was frustrating because there wasn't really a purpose for exploring. Whenever there was a person of interest, I was like, "Oh man, I wonder what sort of secrets this guy has." and it turns out it was just a random NPC with nothing to offer. The forest graphics were bland. Feel free to toss in some birds or wildlife or something. Something dynamic to capture the player and make the world feel alive.

Now the glitches part. One, I can't load my save properly.

Two, I would like to put into a great tale. After an epic fight with the alligator bear monsters from the lake, I decide to high tail it back to the town in order to get me some more potions to replenish my stock. I go to the shop keep to ask for some potions and the battle music plays. So, naturally, I'm like...what. But fortunately, he let me buy some potions. Right as I left the shop, the jerk sicks three of those alligator bears on me! I straight up murdered all of them, again. Then I spoke to him again to explain himself. Then he sent out another three. I reloaded and now I can't load my save.

Overall, it has potential, but these glitches and tedious fights really take away from me enjoying this properly.

its a great game just the controls are a little bit confusing

VoidForce responds:

Next time around we'll add mouse controls too. It was my fault they weren't in it this time if I'm honest.

it's an all around good game but needs some work. I HATED how ever 10 seconds in the forest a random encounter happened. maybe lower that a bit. also you could probably clean up the animation a bit. slow speed was a problem too. this game can be great if given enough attention so just keep workin on it and it'll just get better and better. ;)

VoidForce responds:

All the feedback we've gotten definitely gives us a much better starting point for the next game. I'm making a point of balancing the game better, lowering random encounter rate, adding mouse controls and a few other things. Thanks for the response.

Hi void, ty for the game, looks promising. I wont make another post listing area of improvement, since its already well covered.

I ll only said one important thing :

I think you missed some obvious things in the initial release (difficulty, items, slow speed etc).
I am afraid that you might miss more on the update.
The solution: PLAY THE GAME YOURSELF (till the end ?) one time before releasing the update. Or ask a friend to do so. Obvious problems will appear :)

Good luck !

VoidForce responds:

Yeah, we'll do our best to address all of the main issues and as many of the minor ones we can for the next game. Hopefully it's a lot more stable and far less difficult.

Seem like an ok game so far, but there's a lot that's bothering me about it. For one, I fought the big gatorbear and managed to kill it after it took out the two main character boys, pat myself on the back and went back to town, saved and went to buy more potions, as I opened the shop to buy stuff i heard the "battle start" sound effect and the character's names and health number appeared in the bottom corner of the shop, as I got out of the shop the battle with the three gatorbears started again. I refreshed the page not wanting to fight that horrible battle again and my save files disappeared. You can imagine my disappointment. The battles take so long that it's going to take me a while to get back to where I was at.
Other than that, there's a lot visually about the game that really irritates me during battles. When a character has a status effect or is low on health it looks like their arm dislocates and drags on the ground, and I can't figure out why you placed the enemies so far away from the characters who decide to approach the monsters but don't even walk half of the battlefield in order to do so(which is a good thing i guess because of how long it takes them to walk nowhere in particular as it is).

Will end up being a good game I think as soon as you work out the problem with the save files everyone seems to be having.

VoidForce responds:

That's a pretty strange bug, I'm not sure what's going on with that one. I apologise for that. Save files have been a constant issue since we released the game. At the end of testing, they seemed to be working well for us and the testers, there's clearly something we missed.
