A short platformer made for the NESjam over at Gamejolt.

Arrow keys to move
Z to jump
X to shoot once you collected THE POWER

I should mention that SN2083, to me, is less of a game than it is an attempt to create a specific atmosphere. It's short and won't be a challenge for anyone who's played platformers before, but I hope that if nothing else, it takes you back to picking up a rental cartridge one weekend because the box art looked MEGARAD and then you played a weird thing that made no sense but you were completely immersed in being a space person blasting aliens while arguing with your friend if it was a dungeon or a space fortress.

A nice little "game" you have created there. I added half a star for your great effort. You have the potential to make something bigger.

Great fun. Simple game play and a nice look.

The jumping feels a bit "jetpackish" to me. Like the character is accelerating after they've left the ground.

When you shoot the block that one of the monsters can walk on her is able to levitate across that space.

Other than that my only complaint is that it's too short. Is there a bigger better version in the works?

Nothing bad to sat about it. Hopefully we will see a longer game based on this.

Let's see. Amazing retro graphics, groovin' NES like soundtrack, fun and easy to grasp gameplay = EPIC!
I would definitely like to play a full game of this, although this short run was fun for what it is.
I like how the hero just looks like an average guy who is a little over weight, and not some buffed out beefcake haha.
Keep up the amazing work!
