After 6 years since "Drakojan Skies Acolytes" was released in 2007, DS is back and rebuilt from the ground up. Inspired by 16-bit arcade games, DS was designed to have that old school shmup gameplay from the 90's.
This demo features the entire second stage of the game, including all the in-game menus, weapons and character select screens.
Because of the way it was developed, it's not possible to stream the entire game online. Instead, it's available for download over at: http://www.adregalus.net/

The full version includes 4 stages, and is planned to receive an additional 4 stages, with some more content by this Winter, including an all new campaign mode.

I went ahead and downloaded the full game, as I noticed what you had said in the description.
I had a pretty good time with it, as usual, so I wanted to congratulate you on a job well done.
What I was most looking forward to was the story mode though, so I'll keep waiting and keep my hopes up for that.
I'd heard there was a possibility for more stages to be released later, too, so that's pretty great.
Cheers.

Disappointing.
Game doesn't save. Sometimes there is no scrap to buy items. Sometimes stage item spams so I can't rescue everyone. Rescuing doesn't give +1 armor like the game says.
Fully upgrade primary by level 2? Only 4 stages? This game seems to lack a lot. Short.
I realize this is just a demo, buy I sure as hell aint paying for a full version which is flawed.

Boring gameplay, mediocre graphics, and a lack of any kind of progression system (leveling up weapons/characters) makes the gameplay get stale fast. Maybe if this was out 8 years ago, it would be decent, but the genre has moved well past this uninspired gameplay style.

I believe your "How To Play" menu should tell you what buttons do what, as I died 3-4 times trying to figure out what was what, but really good otherwise.

Meh nothing new or interesting. Everything looks like a paper cut out. This has been done many many times.
