If you can't get through the loading screen just press enter and it should work. It's just a strange bug.

This game was originally made at Exile Game Jam in Vallekilde, Denmark. The subject was "dreams".

There are some bugs that aren't fixed yet and all that, but it'll all happen eventually. There are some especially problems with gamma and enemy ai bug.

I just beat the 3rd level three times in a row because every time i beat it it sends me back to the 2nd level.

Eydi responds:

Yeah, actually there are only 2 stages that are very generic I guess. If you beat level 1 you go to level 2 and vice versa.

I'll be sure to add more levels to make this game a little more entertaining I guess. But it's really just a side project.

Nice, weird idea, but the gameplay isn't very well thought out. Being chased by enemies which make a beeline for you, and can pass through walls, while also moving randomly, is more randomly frustrating than it is hard.

When I got a feel for what I was supposed to do, I realized that the optimal strategy is simply to make sure the enemy is in a bad position before you make a run. You can't really dodge the enemy when they've finally got a proper bead on you, so making a bad choice when you pick up the object is eventually ruinous, while making the right choice is a boring stroll to the finish line unopposed. Considering the game doesn't go out of its way to tell you where the enemies are, and that sort of gameplay isn't...well, any fun at all, I'd suggest you work in a different challenge.

Also, while I appreciate that 'life' in this game is reflected in the wear on the bulbs rather on the character, which is innovative, you need to have an indication of how much wear is left in the bulb, and make the dropping animation more clearly show why being touched is bad. As it is, it feels like a child's game of tag, with three touches and you're out.

I can totally see your point. That's very useful, thanks a lot!
I epsecially agree that it's not really that fun to wait for the right moment to dodge an enemy. I'll totally look into it.

I'll look into it and make a better version.

I love the animation. I didn't seem to have any bugs while playing it. The only issue I have is the sound effects are ear shatteringly bad. I know its supposed to be like that and it gets more quite as you progress, but it still drove my brain crazy. A mute button would help immensely. Its defiantly difficult, but quite a bit of fun.

Some instructions, and a storyline would help. Gets dull too fast without. Other than that, the blue guy didnt seem to chase me most times, dont know if thats a glitch. Controls worked smoothly though, and i liked what i think the idea was

Eydi responds:

Thank you. Yeah the blue monsters ai is buggy. I'll have that fixed as one of the first things.

The game is good! The graphics are nice. The SFX and Music are ok.
It only needs some repair on the bugs, and done! (There's a graphic bug, in the superior part od the window)
3.5 Stars.

Eydi responds:

Thank you!
I wanna make it so the monsters actually push you away when they hit you.
Also add some more levels. Already got some new elements to improve gameplay too but I don't know when I'll get around to add them in though.
Thanks a lot for the tip. I gotta collect the people from the jam sometime so we can fix it together.
