Block And The Tower

A lone green block finds itself trapped inside a mysterious tower of immense height and unknown purpose. One thing is clear, however: its creator never intended anybody to reach the top! Lead the block skyward, away from the dangers below, and (hopefully) to the freedom above!

Almost two years after my first complete game (Block In A Tower) was uploaded to Newgrounds, I present its sequel: Block And The Tower! I made this game to see how much I've improved over the past couple of years, so it isn't so much a sequel as it is a remake. Either way, constructive criticism is welcome and I hope you enjoy!

I actually really enjoyed this game, simple graphics and extremely fun.
About the movement animations, where the box would stretch, maybe make it a little more subtle.
Other than that, loved it!

This is great! Controls are tight - Feels good. The graphics are appealing. It's nice to see that you put careful thought into the level designs. Overall, nice professional presentation and a solid game all around. :)

Solid controls and gameplay, well designed levels.

Ok, so wow, this is a pretty fun game. It has a good mix of simple and addicting yet still manages to be challenging with the spikes. The music is amazing and the controls are exceptionally smooth and precise.

This is a really good game! What I like about this game is how simple it is. This game is a perfect example of what a good game is suppose to be. I like how its simple, the art fits the game very well and so does the music. The only thing that I could find that I didn't like is the face that there aren't any checkpoints (non that I found at least), this doesn't make this a bad game just think that a checkpoint should be put in every so many levels so you don't have to start all the way over if you die. On a side note I love the animation for the block when running jumping, one of my favorite things about this game, it adds character to a player that is just a block.

Over all wonderful game and would love to see more work from you! =]

Thank you! I considered adding checkpoints halfway through development, but to do that I would have to restructure a lot of my work and in the end it just wasn't worth it. Maybe next time I'll plan better! =]
