Overall a great game. I did enjoy it and it did occupy my time for a number of hours. Very addictive it does have some cons however, by the time you are able to trade for the high value items like the gunpowder, silver, and rum you are already half way if not farther through the game. I also disliked the fact that after playing for some time and finally defeating the Dutchman the game ends. Had I known the game was going to end after I fought the final boss I would have likely not killed him off so quickly, also would be a significantly better game if there were more trade items, more towns to take and the pirates took the towns back when you took them, reminds me of a game I played the hell out of known as Sid Meyers Pirates the newer one not the dos game overall five stars.

Great Game, How Can I Truly Describe The OCD Try Hard Bliss I went Through Playing this Game, I Maxed Out All Three Boats, Got All the Star Things, Made 200,000,000 Money, Bought Every Boat, And Every Upgrade For Every Boat, Jesus Vogd3, I Wish It Was Longer.

Also Hint For Money Making, You Can Use Supply And Demand, For Example If I Have 1000 Cargo Of Coffee From Montego And Make A Profit At Port-Au-Prince Then Buy Rum And Sell It To Montego, They Both Now Will Buy The Other Cargo For More Because Of Increased Demand (I sort of hope it's patched) I Got To The Point That I Mage 1,000,000 A Trip.

I like how you can customize the length of the game. I didn't concentrate on trading because it was easier to just fight pirates. Trading was boring only due to the fact that if a pirate ship did cross you it didn't force an encounter.

If you do trade, just check the port's goods list. If you bring something to it that isn't on the list, you'll get a premium price. This is good if you can want to earn money fast to buy better ships and/or upgrades.

Fighting other ships builds up War Points (?) which is just another term for research points. You need to research new tech before you can buy it. Once you do buy the tech, you're other ships merely need to purchase the new tech in the upgrade list.

Overall the game play was smooth, the music charming, and engrossing enough for me to sit here for a couple hours.
