Fun little game... although in a build up game like this, some sort of save progress function is a really good idea. I had a browser plugin crash in the middle of playing and lost everything - back to square one. :(

Anything with pirates is a great game, and this really is a great pirate game. The introductory battle gave me a taste to savor, shortly before losing it all and having to start from the bottom again. Great upgrade and battle system, simple and fun, and music and scenery that brings you back to another age. Great game!

Those kind of games that mix strategy with some good ol' economy are good, and always will be, if done right. And it's, in fact, done very good, for a flash game. The economy aspect, though, is very basic and linear, just moving from town to town. Some price dynamic would've been good. Battles themselves are pretty standart for an rpg, but it's still good, with some aspects like buyable cannonball upgrades thrown. The upgrade stage is great. Upgrades are pretty smooth, so AI can always put a decent fight. You actually need to prepare for some battles, which increases the strategic value of the game. Overall, there are no flaws. The game is interesting and fun. 10/10, 5/5.
