I like how the wife is used for bait while the husband shoots the house intruder.

the game is good, but boring... partially i agree with gfx1978 on game-play, but in my opinion that bonus money between days, should have been split in monster pockets and earned by killing them- that way, there would have been more action, instead of using up that bonus and then waiting for another payday... i liked everything else(controls graphics etc.)! just one confusion though... after finishing the basic mode, i got a message stating, that lasers had been unlocked, but instead, only tesla was available in the next run... lastly, sometimes the graphics of moving parts(monsters, guns) were missing... i mean guns and monsters were there, but i could only see circle shadows of monsters and shooting animation from "nowhere", but that's just maybe because of my low-end pc, although the towers and the house were fine, and there was no noticeable "lag"...

Kinda cool game but I don't like the controls. Gets boring soon too.

My favorite type of game is the tower defense genre. It's always nice to see a new one.

You wanted some proper feedback on your game so here goes... I will list my issues and what I thought was good and also what I think would make the game better.

The problems:
1) The game is boring and this is on account of the following reasons:

2) There is not much variety. Although you have more types of enemies, I didn't really notice any difference in gameplay. They should have different abilities that you would need to counter with different types of weapons. As is you just build a lot of flame towers and some machine guns with some bells inbetween and you are fine.

3) It is just sloooow despite I constantly used the higher speed... I built a huge maze and it took forever for every level to finish.

4) There was no real challenge - this should be a game about planning and using the right towers etc... instead it's just about spamming towers and upgrading them without any thought.

Okay.... so the next part is about the actual controls.

5) The view made it difficult to select the correct tower and it got annoying as I accidentally sold a gun or two. Every time you upgrade a tower it zooms out and deselects automatically. It would have been helpful to be able to ugrade all three seps without having to select the tower again and again.

6) The view is quite limited and I would have preferred to be able to zoom out completely to have a better grasp of what is going on.

7) The 3D felt like a gimmick more than anything and it just made the game annoying to navigate.

Right... So on to the positives.

I did like the graphics - they were fitting with the story which was also enjoyable. The music was nice at first but it got repetative fast since the levels dragged on so much.

To summarise - I see that a lot of work went into this, but as a tower defense game this is not very good, there are too many things fundamentally wrong with it. It's quite broken in my opinion. It's not a matter of being too easy - it's ironically quite 1-dimensional and not very fun. I kept playing hoping something interesting would happen - like a new gun and enemy would be unlocked and once I finished the normal mode I got the laser I didn't fel like playing any more. I think you can do much better and I would be interested to see what you can come up with. You should play Incursion, gem craft, kingdom rush or xeno tactics (I think) to get a feel for what makes a great tower defense game.

Good luck in the future

Thanks for your feedback and taking your time to write so much!

In terms of game design im still pretty much an amateur. I am a better programmer than a game designer. Admittedly the enemies in the game are still pretty much similar, i was trying to add variety and balance the game play at the same time but found that it took way too much time investment, so i opt to publish the game first and see what happens. This is probably a fault on my part.

The 3D is partly because im targeting mobile platforms, i have to use the GPU or the game will run too slow on devices, and since im using GPU i might as well make it full 3D. But i guess ppl are not used to having 3D perspective view while playing TD.

ill be working on the next version with better gameplay, but newgrounds probably will not accept it as a fresh submission for my next version.

nice game, although i do have a suggestion, it would be a lot easier to play the game if you point in a top down view mode.
other then that, this game is an excellent td, if a lttle easy at times. :)
