Battle 15 unique enemies in this real time battle RPG combining the best elements from rhythm and fighting games.

You can hit escape to close menus and pause the battles, and hitting escape is the only way to close the shop and achievement menu.

Different weapon types have different strengths and weaknesses. Even though spears deal the most damage, they have a much longer cooldown than other weapons!

This is my April One Game A Month, although I had worked on some of the basic framework back in March. I want to eventually create a whole RPG with this as the battle engine, but for now, give it a try and let me know what you think!

If you have any problems with or suggestions for the game, please let me know, I definitely want to improve upon this!

Added a "Spell Incoming" warning shortly before the enemy casts a spell (not including if it is casting a spell at the very beginning of the battle). This should make it easier to plan for and deal with enemy spells! You may need to clear your cache to get the updated version.

Update: Added WASD support as well as a bugfix that broke the battles on some computers.

Achievements need to be hard enough to justify having them as achievements while easy enough that most people that play would want to go for them.

Secret Achievements must never assume the player has a certain play style.

And most importantly, never put in achievements that in game actions can make inaccessible from that point on.

With that mentioned, I think that you need to need the requirement for Clean Sweep from "Beat every enemy exactly once without lost." to "Beat every enemy in a row starting with the first going to the last without repeating an enemy." As you can see, the former requires you to be physic and starting a new character as well as doing things in such exact detail that even robots may decide it isn't forth the effort of the reward while the later gets the player to do what you want as your desired action is indicated in the achievement while not forcing the players to all basically have to be clones of each other to get the achievement.

I *think* clean sweep already does what you say - you can choose any weapon or style, but you have to beat all enemies without ever losing or going back and defeating an enemy twice for exp. Let me know if I misunderstood you!

Just dropping by to give you 5 stars.

One thing though, you only got thembeacause of the word "Beta". There's still a lot to improve and mini-games that you should add. This is a very promissing game.

can i level up more then level 31 ?
And AWESOME game im stuck too the final two bosses and achivments
Nice Work and make more games like this i am enjoying this game alot

Level 31 is the maximum in Rhythos Arcade BETA, but future versions may allow even higher levels! My recommendation for the last two bosses is to use the heal spell - it both blocks (like defend), and heals hp, which if used when the enemy casts lightning, it'll block the damage to your health and mana bars, and increase your health! Since the Lich Lord and Evil Hero have high magical defense, you're not losing much from having no offensive spell anyways, but the most important factor is timing :).

Glad you liked the game, and I definitely have more coming with this battle system!

How do you get the "Clean Sweep" achievement?

Clean Sweep is achieved when you beat all enemies exactly once. This means no grinding weaker enemies to level up, and no losing to enemies either (although if you lose, it wont autosave, so you can just refresh and play from before you lost). This is pretty tough, as it requires you entering each fight with minimum stats and equipment!
