Persist is a tale of a small spirit, trying to seek a mysterious Goddess to forgive his past sins so he can move on to higher plane of existence. Unfortunately the Goddess really resents him. and tries her hardest to keep the spirit from reaching her, stealing his various body parts and various skills with them. Lose your arms, and you can't swim, lose your legs, and you can no longer jump.

Can you reach salvation? Or are you doomed to lose all hope, and your whole existence, in the deep and dark sanctuary of the Goddess?

Like I said on the LD page, this is a very nice entry, save for the audio. I played through the end now that I have more time, and I must say the ending was least expected (though I guess that's what I get for playing the game before reading your comments on the game). Again, very ace job for a 48 hour entry.

not bad, i like it, but i feel that the movement controls are not very smooth, often have a hard time trying to have an exact jump and stop reaction

For making this game in just under 48 hours is astounding! I loved the plot that was set up for this! The ending was great! I feel like people that have played Fez and similar games would like this one! I'm telling my friends about it! Great job!

One little beef that I have was that it was little glitchy on the 3rd level which was frustrating. I understand that it took only two days to make but if you were going to make a sequel, I would suggest more color and more level variety! I can see this become a full fledge game with the right funding and support! Keep doing what your doing!

AdventureIslands responds:

The game jam's theme was minimalism, which is why I went with so little colors. Glad you liked the game though! What was the glitch you ran into in 3rd level?
