Persist is a tale of a small spirit, trying to seek a mysterious Goddess to forgive his past sins so he can move on to higher plane of existence. Unfortunately the Goddess really resents him. and tries her hardest to keep the spirit from reaching her, stealing his various body parts and various skills with them. Lose your arms, and you can't swim, lose your legs, and you can no longer jump.

Can you reach salvation? Or are you doomed to lose all hope, and your whole existence, in the deep and dark sanctuary of the Goddess?

It's a decent platformer. At first it seems kind of mediocre, but it actully gets pretty challenging as it goes on. However, not for the right reasons sometimes. It gets a little slip n' slidey. Not to mention a bit floaty, which resulted in multiple cheap deaths. On to the graphics. The graphics, of course, aren't supposed to be highly advanced. They're supposed to look 8 bit, which is achieved well. It's supposed to look classic. The reason I mention graphics is because some assholes will give a game a 0 star rating because of it. In conclusion, Persist is a classic style platformer that shows challenge in progression, and is quite a treat.

A truly touching story. The ultimate sacrifice was necessary to achieve the highest goal of them all: redemption.
