Persist is a tale of a small spirit, trying to seek a mysterious Goddess to forgive his past sins so he can move on to higher plane of existence. Unfortunately the Goddess really resents him. and tries her hardest to keep the spirit from reaching her, stealing his various body parts and various skills with them. Lose your arms, and you can't swim, lose your legs, and you can no longer jump.

Can you reach salvation? Or are you doomed to lose all hope, and your whole existence, in the deep and dark sanctuary of the Goddess?

Great work, really simple mechanics that work well. Intuitive play and interesting story. The fact that you threw it together in 2 days makes it even better. Well done.

How can a simple flash game lag so hard? My netbook isn't probably top notch, but I can play a lot of modern games. Here, lag spikes and then sudden speeding up stood behind most of my deaths. Finally, in a level with a rising water, it was impossible to play. I did turned off low quality... I can understand some complicated shooters lagging, but not a simple platformer. I guess the story must be cool, the little I've seen was interesting. Shame I couldn't see it all...

The ending resolves everything an amazing game that has re playability this is what newgrounds was made for.
