Ludo Meets Lord Of The Rings in this one or two player fantasy board game; avoid traps, drink potions, kill monsters...escape!

Updated 2/8/2013 to include:
More Boards (bringing the total to 10)
Auto Move (hero will move automatically when there's only one that can move)
Less chance of A.I rolling a 6 on easier setting
Idle animations

In Board Horde the main aim is to get your three heroes to the exit before your opponent, using powerful potions and avoiding deadly traps and monsters along the way.

RULES on How To Play are on the menu screen, though in short: Touch/click the dice to roll it, choose your hero from the profile in the top left (or right, if you're red) and touch/click your hero after each dice roll to move (you can select more heroes on a roll of 6). Heroes will move automatically if only one of them is capable of moving.

If you run into any problems, please let me know the following details: device you're using, browser, and problem encountered.

All Horde names will be added to the online leaderboard if you win, whether you're signed into Clay.io (a gaming site used for storing online scores, among other things) or not.

All feedback is gratefully received.

Now get out there and die in a heroic fashion!

For Me its Stuck At 100%

davehailwood responds:

Sorry to hear the game didn't work for you. Out of curiosity, which device and browser were you using? If you try switching browsers that can sometimes do the trick.

Currently I know the game works on: ipad mini, ipad3, Samsung Galaxy 2 phones. And it seems to crash on old iPod touch devices (some problem concerning the music, which I haven't quite figured out. Possibly a memory issue). It should work fine on PC, as they generally have more memory.

Anyway, thanks for giving it a try.

This is really kind of a fun little game. The randomness of the potions keeps it interesting.

davehailwood responds:

Glad you enjoyed it.

Many more random potions and traps will be on the cards for future updates.

needs some polish, bad a damn fine little game! I could have used a little more direction about what unit beats what monster.

davehailwood responds:

Thanks Snakeeater,

Currently the only Class Difference information is what's listed on the Rules menu (which I kept rather short as I'm aware a lot of people prefer not to dwell on the rules too much).

Once I've added Special Hero Skills to the game, heroes will be selectable from the main menu and I'll list more information about them whilst they're being selected. For now, I'll probably add more class info to the game description so its there if people need it.

Many thanks for the helpful comment and nice rating.

This could be a good game concept but the die rolled 6 maybe 6 times out of 50-60 die rolls, then the resulting CPU die rolls just knocked out any characters I was able to get out. Maybe manipulating the game to account for something like that so 8 turns of no possible moves wouldn't happen.

davehailwood responds:

Hi Amconsequat,

Thanks for giving Board Horde a try.

The dice rolls are completely random, so sometimes many sixes will happen (pity you weren't the one rolling the dice!)

For an upcoming update I plan to have a consequence happen when the player rolls three sixes in a row; perhaps uber Spawn which spawns lots of devil monsters next to the players heroes. If you can think of a better idea for a consequence then please let me know and I'll see if I can incorporate it.

poor graphics , annoying music , and very repetitive game , and boring , also this game depends nly on luck , you do nothing , just select one player and move it

davehailwood responds:

Hi Georgi,

When you have more than one hero on the board there's more than luck involved as each class of hero has different abilities (as is mentioned in the rules). Warriors are best at killing monsters, but tend to get bad potions or trigger traps more, Rogues are good all rounders and best at avoiding traps, and Mages get the most powerful potions but are more likely to die when landing on a monster.

Music can also be turned off by pressing the pause button in game, and turning music to 'off'.

Pity you didn't like the graphics, or sound, or, well, anything really. Still, thanks for giving it a try.
