MIND F**K ZONE!! awesome though, love the story!
this is one of the best internet games i ever played.
i love the storyline, characters and mindbreaking timetraveling!
Ouch... my head.
That was fantastic. Sure, the gameplay was fine, but the story is really what mattered in this case, and rightfully so. All the ideas in this game are fascinating. I love intricate, multi-layered storylines like this one.
Pretty good game. I'm seeing a lot of love for it in the comments. I played on silent so I can't make any comments about the music, but as for the game itself, I found it enjoyable. Simple in execution, but it doesn't need to be fantastical in order to be fun. That being said, I want to go over a few quirks that are keeping me from giving it a five star. Now, I say quirks because none of these are really a negative thing about the game.
1) It's essentially a watered down 999.
999, for those who haven't played it, is one of the greatest pieces of writing for a video game I have ever seen. There are multiple endings, many of which end in death for the protagonist as well as the rest of the cast, as well as one True ending in which all members survive. It's an intricate and brilliantly written story that delves into psychic powers and the capability to transmit thoughts to progress towards the true ending on subsequent play-throughs. That this game reminds me of it can be nothing but a plus, despite the fact that it lacks that level of brilliance.
2) The story is... I don't even.
There is something peculiar about stories involving time travel in that they all usually tend to piss me off. I usually can't stand them because there are gaping plot holes and things that just don't make sense by any suspension of my disbelief. This was not one of those. I don't know what exactly it was about it that made the difference, but it may be that it was simply the reason that multiple runs were necessary rather than the central focus of the plot that needed to be fleshed out and explained thoroughly. Either way, the story was out there, but it wasn't bad.
3) The two middle paths...
There are two paths that I have been unable to reach. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it just doesn't seem possible to save the right people to unlock those middle two blocks. I think both of them actually leave me with Christina and Lionel... Not sure, because I haven't been able to unlock them.
Either way, it's a solid game and it made me want to play to the end. The end was kind of not what I wanted to see, but it was well within the characters motivations and personality for it to happen. I still thoroughly enjoyed the game and am going to continue to try and get those two missing blocks. Keep up the good work!
One of the best mindfucking story I played on a flash game yet. And an incredible one. You did a wonderful job.
The story have emotions, while some other branch gave me a "wtf?"
Definitively worth the 5 stars. I hope you can do something similar!
