Join the captain in his glorious quest to find the Amber Helix.

Use the mouse to move and the left mouse button to fire. When your shield is damaged it only regenerates if you don't fire. When you die you lose some or all of the experience you gained on that level and the percentage lost depends of difficulty chosen and upgrades bought.

Updated to v1.15:
- Added particles to explosions.
- Active seeking mines now give experience when killed.
- Fixed a bug where saved experience could potentially become NaN (Not a Number), making experience unusable.
- Fixed a bug where the escape pod used the player's full speed instead of just the base.
- Fixed the Larva and Pupa feat descriptions. Some bonuses were not listed.

Added to favorites. Why? This is one of those games that is well done, but it has that dreaded length and difficulty so I need to play in intervals. I WILL finish this game. It deserves a higher score, which means you need to make a sequel that has improvements and leaves out the problems that this game has (user comments state them pretty well)

Good work

AmberHelix responds:

I have done some work on a sequel, but I still want to update this game more before I start doing that for real. =)

Very nice game, very addictive and fun, but too damn hard. On last levels everything ends with going through old levels to gain some experience and upgrade drones, and again, and again, and again.

AmberHelix responds:

On Normal I don't feel that grinding is necessary, and I won't be making it any easier than that, but I do think I will be adding more levels in future versions, and completing them as well would probably yield enough experience to complete the game. =)

if you were going to make the levels so dang long at least let us play the game in the background so i can still work whilst i trounce the training level.

A fun game, definitely.
My only complaint is that the levels are a bit too much on the long and repetitive side.

Hopefully the new 1.02 update will help with that. =)
