The game is okay. Not terrible or total trash like some people are saying, but certainly not as good as this games rating would have you believe. Let's get the good stuff out of the way: I like that you made enemies of different colours behave in different ways, I like the variety of upgrades allowing for multiple play styles and I like that the game is simple enough for pretty much anyone to play.

Now for the the more problematic things. The game has very little to offer beyond the core game. That is to say, there's no score board, no customization, hell, it doesn't even have a place you can on in game to check the instructions again. And that would be more forgivable if the core gameplay was very good, but it's mediocre at best. It's okay, it'll keep you entertained for a little bit, but after a while you will begin to feel your brain going numb. And the quiet yet repetitive music probably isn't helping matters.

I see a lot of people complaining about the difficulty and with good reason, this game gets hard really fast and I have the feeling that they are all complaining about one level in particular. I don't recall the level number, but basically yellow has access to two gold mines right off the bat while you and red are forced to fight over one which always results in yellow taking over red and swarming your base. If you get past that level though, the game gets relatively easy, specially if you're quick and grab vacant towers as quick as possible but then you run into another problem, the games challenge goes down since as more enemies are added, the less attention each faction gives you, letting the player take over half the map without the AI even noticing until it's way WAY too late. By level twenty you're hardly even paying attention anymore.

Speaking of level 20, the game just fucking ends after you beat it with a brief acknowledgement that the player has finished the game. That'd be fine if this was some shitty Ipod app, but even then chances are you'd get a scoreboard. You don't feel like you've accomplished anything at the end of the game. There's not even some giant tank or some crap to destroy with an overcompensating explosion, just the same 4 factions you've been fighting for the several levels fighting each other until you swoop in an destroy them one by one with relative ease.

Course, I blame that on the fact the game doesn't even have an excuse story. Seriously, what's the point of this game? Where's it happening, who are these people we're fighting, why are we fighting them? When is this happening? If you take games like, say, Genghis Khan and Hex Empire (two other strategy games you can find on newgrounds) All or most of those questions are easy to find. I've quite a few of military based strategy games and I find that most of the better received ones, like that ones I've mentioned, Warfare 1914 etc etc have little things on the side to keep you entertained besides the core game play. All of the ones I've mentioned at least have a map or a chart showing you how you've progressed and how much left you have to do. And at the end, not only do they give you reason to feel like you've accomplished something, such as statistics, a nice map of your new empire or even a cheesy little "You're awesome good job", but you actually might want to play those games again. There's replay value there, there isn't much here because no matter what you do, it's always going to be the same result.

Overall, the games okay if you have nothing better to do but it has a lot of things holding it back from being a truly great game. I would suggest that you add more in if you plan on doing another one. Different map types, more enemy variety (seriously, everyone has basically the same units as you), a story (even an excuse one would be nice), more musical variety, a mute button and a place in game to check the instructions, a pause button, scoreboard, and more balanced gameplay. Give us a reason to play these games as apposed to literally anything else on the internet.

You guys are not even trying anymore, you just add what amounts to three units each time, and call it a brand new game.
