I can't believe thegames8 continues to pump unoriginal clone games into great gaming sites like poison. What's more, I can't believe terrible games like this continue not only to make front page but also to win awards?! How can these games not be blammed as soon as they come into existance? It's appalling!!
While playing this game I thought of many ways to improve it. Regardless I decided to give it 0 stars because of its obvious flaws with the addition that I would come back later and give it a better score if it had improved. Then I saw who made it and decided to reserve my constructive criticism for people who actually care about games.
This is to all who read it: thegames8 don't want to make good games. They only want to make money. This is evident when looking at how they copy popular game ideas which they know will bring in many views and good ratings (because the idea itself is good) while including big, obvious and easily avoidable flaws. They just want to stuff their copy full of advertisements and get as many people as possible to view them.
I've never seen a game work so hard against itself before. This is touted as a "skill-avoid" game, but there is no skill involved. The hitboxes are entirely too large and with little-to-no warning about what's coming up, avoiding things comes down to more luck than anything.
Then you level up and get the booster. Cool, right? NOPE. Now you have even LESS warning to avoid the unavoidable.
And then you finally get past the giant onions and the fat aliens just to run into an ever-present meteor shower that seems to collide with you no matter how clearly you avoided it.
And then there's the bug where the ad doesn't load, forcing a refresh.
This could have been good given proper testing and design iteration. All I see, however, is a product of laziness.
Again, same as the last game I played, the inter-level ads crash the game so it has to be reloaded.
