Final project for my motion graphics class, made during my final semester of the Interactive Multimedia Developer program at Algonquin College. While the client (Fido Mobile) is real, this project is not actually affiliated with them; their likeness/brand was used solely to provide a foundation for the project.

Software used includes Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere (All CS5)

Can't help but feel this commercial is too cheesy, just like a regular commercial. You could take that as a compliment though since I really don't like most commercials for the same reason. :) I appreicate this for the graphical work, which is smooth and symbolic, and goes well with the text, but that background melody, the arguments to make me buy the product, it's just... too cheesy. I wouldn't buy it HSYK. The voice also sounds a bit stiff and strained, but as for the graphical presentation, that part is great, stylish and effectual. Keep it going!

GnomeSlice responds:

Hey, thanks for watching.

The whole idea was to make it look as professional as possible; I was trying to emulate the sort of ads you see out there right now (Google 'Simple Story Videos', brilliant local studio to me). I'm pretty pleased with my graphical presentation, but I think the script and some of the audio could definitely be improved.

Anyway, thanks again!
