I've animated a Calvin and Hobbes strip, using Bill Watterson's drawings as keyframes.
Here's the original:
I love Calvin and Hobbes. you got the facial expressions and everything.
Really great. I liked how they didn't talk since everyone imagined their voices differently and you couldn't possible hope to satisfy anyone. The charm just seems better without dialogue anyway. The purring noise Hobbes made at the end was great.
You should also try one of the strips with the wagon or sled, though I'm not sure how you'd manage that without dialogue.
I can't get enough of Calvin and Hobbes, flash vid or comic strip form. You did a great job of capturing the genuineness of their expressions and emotions.
Just so we're clear, this is a regular thing now, right? I mean, until the end of time, of course.
I love Calvin & Hobbes, it was my favorite comic when I was a kid! You made a very nice, simplistic, clean animation that matched the overall style of the comic, I liked it. Nice job.
