I just started the game, I haven't gotten far, i've noticed that you have to battle a lot to upgrade your skills, in most games when its like that i do not spend a lot of points for a skill that is unneeded but i haven't gotten far into the game so i do not know which skills i do not need or what i do need.
But i will soon know by playing this game and probably beating it a few times. I've also noticed if you go back into town and then save then reenter the game the mobs you've already killed respawn back so you can go back and kill them again for extra EXP and AP points. ether way wanted to let people know that so they don't go to far into the game and get stuck. hopefully that little bit of information i typed out helps some of you people play the game.

Its a fun game and just like Anonchan said, its not that hard of a game like 1,2, and 3 of the Epic series. but its still fun and i'm having a blast! :D

It was a good game just like the others. The Epic Battle Fantasy series' best point is it's battle system. The player is forced to utilize enemies' elemental and status weaknesses especially on epic mode. This is the kind of strategic gameplay that games, such as the Final Fantasy series, lacks.

However, I have to say that this game lacked difficulty that the previous games had. I played through this game on epic but only a few enemies gave me a challenge. Epic Battle Fantasy 1 was the most difficult game followed by 2 and 3. The games appear to become easier as new sequels appear. This was a bit disappointing because the sheer difficulty of Epic Battle Fantasy 1 was what really drove me into completing this whole series.

The level 40 medal was annoying to attain. The medal either forces the player to grind for hours and days on a single mob (the triple dragon mob right before the final boss) or use stuff like cheat engine to hack their way to lvl 40. All the other medals are pretty easy to attain.

The soundtrack is excellent. "Rage of the Abandoned" is freaking awesome. Even still, I think "Nebula" from Epic Battle Fantasy 3 was the best ost from all the games.

I'm looking forward to your next game Matt.
