The Ghost Pianist

A 3D piano duel between two ghost pianists that represents the legends Frederic Chopin and Ludwig Van Beethoven.
This project took 3 months of work.

The funny thing about this is that I animated the characters playing the exact keys for all three songs, but turned out that I wanted to focus more on the characters face than the piano keys. So I spent 2 weeks animating every key and barley showed it. Created in: 3D Studio Max

Music by: Kework Der Stepanian
Full version of the first song can be found at: tch?v=fpObI0ViwtI

Vivi anyone? ^^

These two Black Mage pianists reminded me SO MUCH of Vivi and his arch-nemesis, Black Waltz!!!

That animation is so sexy <3. I think I just came a bit. The characters look so dope(reminds me of final fantasy). It's not really my type of music but I will say that it suits this animation nicely. You're really talented and I hope you'll make more like this(I'll make it worth your while, if you know what I mean).

Excellently animated! I can't believe that you actually took the time to animate the keystrokes, but it makes it so fluid and realistic. My only complaint is that Fur Elise gets so overused for Beethoven. It would've been nice to see/hear something else.

And for the record, the correlation between the pianists and Final Fantasy IX's Vivi and Black Waltz is unmistakable, although you've certainly changed a few things in their appearance. Good! I think they look cool. 5 stars, which is rare from me!

excellent animation, and epic 3-D. magnificent music (only from the masters), and great action.
what more can we ask?
the ''good'' guy reminds me fondly of Vivi Ornitier from final fantasy IX, and thats a great detail, because i always liked this character, and its nice seeing him again in this cartoon.
also, the ''bad'' guy, reminded me of a more sinister ''black-mage'', maybe he looked more like a ''black waltz'' type of character, which is still badass and cool.
anyway! the movie itself was GREAT, and it had an epic music battle, with incredible action, and with unique music, so it was wonderfully done.

my only complaint was that it was too short. the battle should be kinda longer, and the bad guy should fight more.
but i understand that this was a short project, so no problems here.

maybe you should do a new battle like this in your next movie, and add those 2 guys again. i would love to see more of this again!
BTW, be sure to add a ''vivaldi'' themed opponent, or a ''mozart'' one.
this would lead to an epic music fight.
(or a ''mozart'' vs ''beethoven'' perhaps)

either way, this was good, keep it up, and please, please do more! you r good.
