UPDATE: The game two-player version is now available here! Come to play it against living opponents!

Use your brutal intellect and savage intuition to capture the enemy chief!
This innovative board game can be played in two modes: either turn-based, or real-time. You need to be either smart, or quick + smart.

My favorite board sizes are 5x7 and 7x7.
Anybody to defeat the AI set to Excellent?

Its a nice type of board game.
Units die in corners instead of in the middle of the battleground.
Its got a bit more realisticyness.

I like it. I like how you can chose how to do what you want to do.

Well done with this one. I think this is a great game to help ween people into Chess.
Good strategy and brain power required - which is heaps good, y'know - proper.

Music flows, gameplay is complimented by the music and the tribal theme just nails it. I feel like I'm a Pacific Island Chief playing an ancient game against my neighbouring island enemies haha

Thanks. But in fact, this game definitely wasn't designed to help people understand chess. It was designed to play something better then chess when you are tired of it ;-)
As far as I have explored, Divoshi strategic depth is comparable to that of chess. I wanted to play a battle with fresh and more intuitive gameplay, that's why these rules were invented.

ok, the turn based option made me feel like a retard (which is what i chose since this is a chess look-alike), i could maybe win against a human but the AI just crushes me
the real-time mode is definitely doable

very basic, but solid presentation. the grunts are a bit weird
