[REVIVE]
Revive is a pixelated puzzle platformer in which you defy death, define life, and jump in puddles of syrup.

It is also a spiritual successor (in more ways than one) to a game of mine called Respawn.

Man, this project started small and snowballed into something more complex and personal over time. Four months of care were put into Revive's design, so without giving too much away, I hope you enjoy the ride.

Also, let me know if you find any glitches anywhere, and I will address them when I can!

[List of Fixes]
The Time Trial Run medal point value has been increased, slight changes have been made to the controls (such as pressing UP to jump), the collision detection on forks has been improved, and a couple of problems with the main menu are now gone.

I've heard the controls stick for some people. Not sure what would cause this, so if anyone can provide more details about this (like when it happens, what browser you're using, etc.), let me know.

The death-and-spirit system had most certainly delivered a fresh take on an otherwise slightly-tired genre, and [REVIVE] seems to utilize the ability of the player to take advantage of their tangible living/free-flying dead forms effectively, with some pretty intricate level design, nice music, and an interesting story, to boot. I highly recommend this series of puzzles to you.

A great game to play when you are bored I enjoyed it though the music became very annoying still deserves four stars though

Great game, though it has some really weird storyline (I mean... room full of sweets? where everyone is dying?) - if it had a more "human" design it will be way creepier and thus more entertaining. Now I feel like they are all some kind of weird gummybears and can't relate myself to them.

There is a bug - you can squeese near the fork on the 2nd advanced level, finishing it without activating the lava flow.

JonBro responds:

Interesting. I'm kinda the opposite. I totally understand what you mean, although I find myself relating to characters more when they're really cartoony and simplistic.

And I thought I'd fixed that fork bug, twice. Baahhh. Thanks :P

i love this game but I'm stuck at the room 37 :/
details on character, background and objects (as dirt, mildew and rust) and more music (at least 4 different) would make it cooler and immersive ... I really enjoyed it, I'll beat that damn room XD

JonBro responds:

There are roughly 9 different songs in the game, but I'll keep it in mind to have more changes in music in my future projects. Thanks :)

This game is fascinating. Puzzling, fast=paced, and simply brilliant. The concept of using death to your advantage is amazing. Not to mention a fabulous plot.
However, the Time-Trial Trophy was very. . . irksome. You cannot waste a second in figuring out which stage you are at and remembering what to do in that stage! I used 2 hours of irate playing to get that trophy! Due to personal feelings of absolute RAGE-I mean. . . irritated. . .ness. . . I would've like to remove all stars.
However, (again) those are my personal thoughts due to only one of the medals, and I must recognize how beautifully this game was made. So, I only reduced one.
Now, in all seriousness, LULZ on the boss <( ^o^)>

JonBro responds:

You can technically waste 10 or 15 seconds on the Time Trial, although that's assuming you already have the whole path mapped out in your head, so maybe that's what throws most people off about the Time Trial Run. I appreciate all the kind words and comments :)
