The game is known to lag in Chrome browser. If the game is unplayable, consider using different browser to see if that helps.

A calamity is coming and you embark on a journey to stop it. You only have 400 years.

This is an experimental game about the passage of time. Don't expect swift action. Slow down and think, just don't wait too long...

Thanks for the front page NG ! <3

Right off, I'll admit that I got stuck at the first obstacle and didn't know what to do. Pressed the space bar waiting for the water to erode the hill so I could climb it. Silly me.

Anywho, I do love the concept of the game. However... [SPOILER]

Obviously there are some things you have to let go. It's fiction so whatever. A rock that comes to life and moves; ok. What must be a ton and a half rock climbing branches and nets on boats; sure why not. I had no problem with any of that. I thought the gameplay concept was new and a charming way to think about how to get around.
But the rock climbs down a volcano and blocks the only ventilation for the magma. Wait now, what? I think the other things I could let go because they were small devices to get the game moving. But the big thing, the climax so to speak, is sacrificing yourself to plug up a volcano. I get the sacrifice thing. But I think the physics of the volcano are important. Namely the part where the reason volcanoes erupt is because of overwhelming pressure in the magma chamber building up.

I read the comments and I realize this is an experiment but I implore you to think about the story concept a little more. I'm sure I might be the only one to have this problem (believe me I looked) but there's a difference between bending the rules as a plot device and saying, "This is how that works and that's all."
I also realize that the ending might not have been that important being that this game served another purpose, experimentation. The end may not have... well not have made sense, but everything else was great. The music fit nicely, the gameplay made you think, the animation was excellent for what it was, and even the story was good up to a point. (Ending would have been better if the game had a humorous vibe instead.)

Was realy great game. Had hard time with <SPOILER>those people and grain. </SPOILER>. But at the end it was really great.

scriptwelder, why not making the movment taking time ? like the rock is in one place (for people) but moves in term of long time.. ?! :-)

scriptwelder responds:

I was messing around with that concept but eventually it turned out to be too complicated and unpredictable for the amount of time I gave myself to make this game :)

But hell yeah that would have added more depth to the entire idea.

I love everything about this....played it once...great...played it for the under 150...still great.....played again to let the world blow up....kind of dissapointing.....I loved how you got to watch civilization progress up until about 60/70 years...after that I was hoping for more...seeing that the volcano goes off in 2013 I was hoping to see the whole landscape become cities/ first century had a lot of progress...but it stopped after that....I was really hoping for more......that said...still one of the best games I've ever played....Beautiful Idea...and well executed....I hope to see more games as imaginative as this...I love it...well done

This is an awesome idea for a game, the way you use the seasons to further your journey, over the course of hundreds of years. I was waiting for ground to wither so I could keep walking at first, until I realized I could walk on frozen water. Doh. After that I started thinking better, and it really is a game where you need to slow down and think. At times, the pace can be aggrevatingly slow, but overall it's a creative adventure, both mindful and fun to play. Great work!
