Anodyne is an adventure game that focuses on immersing the player through a combination of 16-bit era visual and audio aesthetics, Zelda-esque action/adventure gameplay mechanics, and exploration of the human Young's dream world.

The player moves between rooms 160x160 pixels in size, an intended constraint that we used to create the monster-filled dungeons you will navigate and the set of nature-based (and sometimes stranger) places you will explore.

Anodyne is created by Sean Hogan and Jonathan Kittaka. You can follow us on Twitter at a2 and hanKittaka , or follow the game's updates at negame .

I voted for you on steam.
This is probably the best Zelda type game I've played i hope it gets the green light.

I normally hate demo only games, but this was so awesome, I went and bought it right away and have been playing it for hours! Btw, does anyone know if there is a guide/walkthrough for the full version anywhere? I am stuck on a part and need help.

I am totally going to get this game!

Pretty good game. Very nostalgic. I found a bug though, maybe it only happened with me, but I think it's worth sharing. When I try to quit the game through the menu, selecting Save and Quit or simply Quit, it totally froze, and I can't tell if the game saves by doing it. Like someone said, there should be an "ending" since it's a demo, at least some fade out and something about buying the full version. It's kinda pointless to just walk around exploring since you can't go anywhere. Even so, I still enjoyed it.
