You have fallen into a vast underground maze. Can you find your way out, or will you end up trapped in darkness forever?

We recommend playing in a dimly lit room with your speaker or headphone volume turned up. It's best to play I Can't Escape late at night, as it is an eerie exploration experience.

Troubleshooting: This game requires flash player 11+. If you don't have flash player 11, the game will tell you, and you should download it (for free) here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ .

If you get the error "requires 3D hardware rendering," that means it's not running on your graphics card for some reason. Try right clicking the game, clicking settings, and make sure "enable hardware acceleration" is checked in the display tab, then refresh the page. If that doesn't work, try updating your graphics card driver or your flash player version.

If you're using windows 8, cheese123 mentioned to me that he couldn't get the game to run unless he ran chrome in windows 8 mode. If you're using windows 8 and having trouble, you can try that and see if it makes a difference. Thanks a lot to cheese123!

If you are still having trouble playing the game, feel free to send me a PM!

The build up of atmosphere was amazing, but with nothing to fulfil it (somthing to jump out) it left much to be desired, after a while of falling deeper and deeper and nothing to make your jump you no longer worry you just grow irritated by the darkness and the apperntly usless keys.
the controls where awkward, a large delay on imput and movement was stiff an awkward. that being said the best part was the build up of atmosphere.
2.5/5

Creative, but not very entertaining. There's not really a way to 'win' in this game, and there's a lot of setbacks that are impossible to avoid, like holes that were never really there, 'illusions' of ladders nearby, but on the other side it showed the same thing mirrored. There really isn't any replay value to it, nor any reason to collect keys on the ground since they don't help with any doors, must've had about 20 keys but none fit the locked doors I passed on the way before. It certainly has some creative value as well as something of a fear-factor for inexperienced players, but it lacks in some much needed characteristics that make a game fun or entertaining.

The navigation was annoying; the amount of space you moved was so awkward.
The game wasn't scary either. I assumed that the lower you went, the scarier it got, so I kept trying to find the pitfalls, and went down about twenty levels, and all that appeared was the occasional ghost out of the corner of my eye, and the eyes on the wall.

i'm not one for horror, so this gave me a scare the first time around. i love the idea, and i've got to say the eyes down in the lower levels are a nice touch
