This is the story of Rojo [row - joe] and his journey of corruption and destruction. Rojo used to be a kind and gentle demon; sadly the other Demons banished him because of this. He simply didn't belong, his behaviors were far from normalcy. With a curse placed on him and a plan in the mind of the Demons, "The Songs of Madness" corrupted Rojo and would force him to become a true demon causing mayhem and destruction. Rojo's Corruption is a rhythm based game based on timing certain keys to the music. Well on the surface it sounds simple, until you learn that keys you have to hit aren't displayed to you on the track, but within the environment and up to 3 objects at a time.

These beats start off slow and progress in later levels and progress to the point where you must hit multiple keys at once. You have a combo meter displaying the number of consecutive "Perfects" within the note bar and goes back to one if anything but a perfect occurs. If you miss too many notes than you are greeted with a game over screen and are only able to retry, but if you get enough notes, you get a Victory screen and can retry for higher score or continue and progress. You have to be able to identify the land masses and press the keys in time with the song to achieve the highest possible score.
Each and every object has a name and a note attached: "Mountain-M, House-H, Windmill-W, Cave-C, Lake-L, Forest-F, Island-I, Tree stump-T, Boat-B, Grass-G".

Lacking in any real instructions, or at least, intuitive ones, took my a while to even realise the background was telling me the correct keys for the colour.
The controls are arbitrarily awkward, makes a lot more sense to have the keys on a row, i.e., 1 for red, 2 for green, 3 for blue, etc., etc.,
The retry thing also didn't work for me, had to reload the page, saw that the same thing happened for someone else.
For what it is, it's really meh, it's not "bad" it's just really not good.
Don't use "Please understand this game was created in under 48 hours" as an excuse for bad gameplay/design, creating something fast is only impressive when it's good, it's not an excuse when it's bad.
Don't take this as a personal attack either, I'm actually giving a REVIEW of the game, unlike most that are "yeah it was good" or "game is shit lol".

for some reason it woulldnt work for me. just a picture of the red guy with a black cloud with a white rectangle in it. darn and i love rythm games. im scoring it as if i played it because its probably my computer. looks like people have played it. i will try again again later.

That typically hasn't happened, as the team's senior programmer and project lead, knowing more information on what occurred would be great.
To explain what you "missed out" on:
In the first 40 hours, as our first rhythm game, we were pretty lost, but had an immediate prototype and learned that our believed idea of how to make the game was as simple as possible, turned out to be the most tedious of all, so I redesigned the game's engine in under an hour (after an hour of sleep) and we managed to complete a level, polish it and crank out two more, one of which failed to work properly. We uploaded at that. The game has a very interesting concept, twisting the rhythm genre (described as if rock band and i-spy had a child) but not very many levels due to what I described earlier. Still proud of it none-the-less.
