CircleBOT is about using your robot to collect various balls. Each ball behaves a little differently. Its up to you to collect the balls in time.
Do you have what it takes?
I agree the fact that you have to watch ads before very level makes the game incredibly slow. I swear the ads take time from the level itself sometimes as once it ends I only have half the time left. Medals also fail to unlock.
Game no longer has ads.
The game is extremely slow and you have to watch an ad after EVERY level. I would almost call this spam because of all the ads you have to watch.
Nice concept, with fun core gameplay, but it's not quite 100% realized.
There's only 10 levels; this doesn't last long. The menu is inelegant; you're kicked back to the level select after each level, and it's not obvious which levels you've unlocked (the locked ones look the same as the unlocked ones in the menu).
Playing with a keyboard doesn't provide a whole lot of control nuance, and it's easy to get the balls bouncing out of control. I think removing the time limit would be a good idea; instead, put in a par time that the player is incentivized (but not required) to beat. You could have scoreboards and even medals tied to this.
Also, the goal for each level is not clear; you don't always need to collect all balls to beat every level.
Lastly, having the "menu" button be part of the level is annoying; it should be a static element on the screen. (It also conceals part of the collection areas on a couple levels.)
Still, this is fun while it lasts, and is a nice foundation for what could be a bigger game. If more precise controls could be added (and more levels!) this would be a very nice little game.
Thank you for your honest review. This is actually my very first attempt at making any sort of game, and i think i did decent for a high school senior. As for the level select screen, you DO have to select the levels before you play them, so if you just selected, and beat level 6, then you know you beat level 6, and can play level 7. The controls do leave a bit to be desired, but i think i can make better controls the next time i make a game. One reason you do not have to collect all the balls in most levels, is that the orange balls actually eliminate the orange-red boxes. Another reason is that i felt that the player shouldnt need to collect all the balls in level 3. As for the additional levels, i had origianally planned for 15 levels, but i also wanted the game to have music, and so i had to cut down on the levels. I believe i have some leaderboards and medals set up properly, but i am not sure. The game probably needs to get out of "Under Judgement" before it can use them.
Again, thanks for the review. i will consider your points, and those will probably be implemented into my sequel.
To be honest I didn't really like it at first. But still, I kept playing it. Before you know it I went and played all the levels. This game needs some polish though. The rules are terribly well explained, the game takes way too long to load for what it looks like. Some of the levels are a bit buggy. Good job though, I still had fun with it.
The game may take longer to load because i have music files. (in fact, i have ten music files, one for each level.) I think i explain the rules perfectly fine in the How-TO section.
Thank you for your feedback.
