Definitely a fun game to play, however a bit boring from time to time.

I have to agree with Mabel Ode all the extras you pay for don't really add up to any perk in PvP. It also isn't near as amazing for leveling as you think just makes dungeons a little bit easier to have the pets. The only thing I stress that you do pay for is VIP as it makes the entire experience a hell of a lot easier. The extra runs and extra xp are worth far more in terms of cashing then pets are and as far as I know the only two people with Titans on this server so far didn't cash for it so mounts are all just based on time Byakko and I were buying the stuff long before everything therefore we got it first.

This is an amazing browser mmo. And in reply to the last poster I am level 75 and have never spent a penny, yes I do not have uber mounts/pets and items but you do not need them to have fun......and you can get them without paying it just takes more time. You do not have to be the "best on the server" to really enjoy this game. Yes to be one of the best you would have to spend money...............AND play almost 24/7 neither of which I want to do, but I still have a great time and I should be level 80 next week!

i commend this game for being free to access, but don't be fooled; after about lv 45 you almost have to purchase crystals with real money in order to access many of the uber items, pets, gear etc, to compete in pvp, to solo effectively, and let alone to excel as a top server player. in some cases, a large amount of cash is required. i know someone in game who dropped $150.00 in order to purchase enough eggs to spawn a particular high lv pet, and you know what, she was SOL after spending that much for the equivalent of lottery tickets. i would rather have paid $40.00 outright to play this game WITHOUT THE RANDOM MODIFIERS factoring into the success rates of items (combines for gear, pet hatches, etc . . . instead of random success rates, just change the drop rate of items, oh but that would cut into your profit, lol) than to be extorted into paying to play end game content. Oh, you can purchase a VIP membership for $8 a month and they will throw you a few bones once every 30 days, but not enough to make a difference--you'll wind up paying extra post lv 45.
This being said, i am a vet of several MMO's (Everquest, Vanguard, WoW, Project99, and several other emu servers) and have been a member of several guilds where raid attendance was manditory, so i am not afraid of or opposed to grinding generic quests, hell levels, corpse runs, holding camps in dungeons for hours on end for the CHANCE of a rare drop . . . but i can't stand the Pay to have a enough of a chance to randomly be excellent mentality that will be the eventual undoing of this game.
Also, i have conducted academic/empirical research on things like token economies in virtual environments (i.e. complete task for a guild point [token], spend point on an ability [reward]) and elements in video games which increase a player's sense of immersion (basically enjoyment), so i have a basic understanding of why these things are this way.
Most redeeming feature of this game: AFK mode.
Thanks for your time and effort, Ode
