Get your ball to the portal and avoid the spikes ...or gandhi head .
very good however some improvment needed
I haven't checked your profile, but I assume this is your first game. Honestly, I'm really surprised it wasn't blammed. But I assume this is an early experiment for you, and you're just getting to grips with making games in Flash and such. Submitting things like this for peer review *could* lead to constructive criticism, in theory, but I don't think Newgrounds is the place for it, in either theory or practice. By the way, I'm giving this no stars and not half a star, or one or two stars, because I simply cannot rate things with numbers without going really extreme, so ignore that.
Oh, and don't get discouraged by the negative reviews here. Super-early experiments are never going to be super amazing and sweep the IGF or anything ridiculous like that.
I'd like to offer some advice, also: Trying to build a simple platformer to get to grips with the mechanics of the genre is all well and good, but you should consider what makes your platformer worth making. Does it put an interesting spin on things, either mechanical or artistic? Note that putting bad poetry and acoustic guitar picking everywhere does not constitute originality, contrary to the apparent opinions of a few post-Braid indies. That said, you shouldn't be afraid to be personal. Do make games. Do not be a passive consumer. Do not feel pressured to fall into trends, either mainstream or faux-alternative.
yeah sorry it wasn't that good
very siple graphics no miusic no sounds...
so I give half star
This is one of the portal's worst games. The graphics are bad, the controls are unintuitive, it's too short, and the programming is poor. Avoid at all costs.
This isn't a good game. The graphics were dull, There was no music and the controls very very slow.
However one of the biggest problems for me was on level 4 & 5 there would be blocks but you wouldn't be able to stand on them. There were no winning screens and went back to level one after level 5.
The sequel to "Outpost:Haven"
