this is great, with some refining this would make a great game. the battle system needs more work. it needs more action. i suggest letting it go free form with game pad programmable.
the music is peaceful and layed back. easy to relax and play. the battle music is awesome. don't change it, unless it fits the battle.
no problem with loading.
you should look into 3D models and backgrounds and adding more animations.
