I liked the game, as has already been said. It has good visuals (kinda retro) good game play and smooth controls. I also liked that twist at the end of story mode (I'm not gonna spoil it) And to think that it was all done in under 48 hours... it's pretty good.

Augh! My hitbox... it hurts so much...
Going through the story I felt a bit like I was only winning due to my superpowered ship, felt a bit of a lack of skill requirement... and then the shrapnel and secret modes happened, and I have nothing to blame for my rage other than my inability to not fly into deadly things. ;_;
Very well made. Nice visuals and great gameplay. Music's not bad either.
All the stars from me.

For those who think Story+ is too hard, the trick is to avoid the powerups and let them accumulate until things get really tight. You only need to reach the boss, not beat him, if you reach him you'll have the option to "Retry Boss"

( to the author)
ok. i hate shoot-em-ups.
that said, this game was done very well. full 5 stars for clean pixel art, no bugs, good scaling of upgrades, and general game balance. and the best part of this game: the plot twist. awesome. you did alot with the limited amount of plot you used here, and ended things with a very thought provoking ending.
your story-telling talents are so good, my first thought was wondering if you might have made any games with heavier storytelling. if you haven't, please do. twitchy games are ok, but my favorites are more intelligent genres. looking forward you seeing if you do empire builders, or turn based games, too.
