Yay for modern 8-bit games! The music was good and fit well with the depressing atmosphere. I like the touches like the swirl of energy bits and flashes of lightning giving some pizzazz to the retro game. The upgrade system was nice and had no way to accidentally access sections you didn't have the upgrade for. Controls were sometimes a bit iffy on the jump but otherwise good. The only complaint is if you rode the boat without fully upping your pill stock you would be more or less screwed for the last bit in the mutant lab since you can't return to my knowledge and "She" was quite hard.

This game was so well made. The art and the level designs never got boring and the music was great.
I couldn't play the whole game, though, because at one point in fighting the first boss he just becomes invulnerable to any attacks I make on him, so, I couldn't progress. Hoping this is a glitch that may get fixed or will stop at some point so I can see more of the game.

The collisions seem off to me at times. Like the hitbox was too wide perhaps? Other than that, I love it. And the soundtrack is beautiful, where can I download it? :>

Really enjoyed it! I liked that the world wasn't linear. The story ending was surprising too; I was expecting the tragedy ending but was surprised with what it is. The wall jumping took a bit but overall, controls were good.
If that ? button wasn't there, I would have been completely lost about what I would need to do next since I don't think it was all that obvious in the story.
Great game overall!
