Great game. I played it all through in one sitting. The controls are more fluent now and the addition of the upgrade shop is quite nice. I've only noticed one problem however, when entering a new area the music will stop sometimes other than that I love this game
Thanks Matthew, we are going to look the bug you report ;)

The game Has a lot of potential, i played some of the first some time ago, but time has caught up to me, and i am 18, i cant play this as it was definitely targeted for a much younger audience between 12-18. I find the programming, coding and graphics absolutely wonderful though, and the music while it was annoying for an adult :P, it is great for younger folks! amazing value, it reminded me right away when i was playing Super wario bros or kirby for the gameboy advance or color, so its like a full retail game! for free! wonderful i say!. I bet you guys will improve this, and work with all the ideas the audience offers. Its fundamental to see what the people that play suggest, as they are the ones that bring and put value on your published games (: keep up the good work!
One of the most important things to do the game is the players opinion, when they play DRAKE 1 they give us a lot of ideas and ask for a new version, so with this new version we will take a new feedback from you and take note about it to a new game of the saga. We love you like the game and thank you for your feedback.

A little background information: I'm a retro gamer and a bit of a Super Nintendo wizard. This game presents itself like so many Super Nintendo games I fell in love with as a child and still play to this day. It happens to be a little too easy for my tastes, but is none-the-less very enjoyable and has made a place on my favorites list.
A lot of places were found lacking in challenge, at least on my level. Many places I fell, I expected to die only to land on solid ground, or jumped over moving spikes to find they didn't even reach half-way to me where they should have shot up and crushed me. All of my "Aw that was a mistake" instincts seemed falsified. This is fine, if you don't want to be too hard on your players. It is merely personal preference.
Another area of unexpected ease was my ability to retry bonus areas. In my experience, they are often closed after one try. This is likely allowed because your shop is reliant on the gems at the end of the bonus levels, and that is understandable.
This game is chock full of Super Nintendo nostalgia, good gameplay, and great design. I look forward to another installment and plan on playing its predecessor.

The first game was great, lots of content to it, and even a charming special room for collecting all 10 dragon coins, which in turn would grant you awesome abilities such as the super powerful level 3 fire and infinite flight. And then there was the purple 'mirage door', which would make water seem like air.
Compared to it, this game seems just a bit... underwhelming. There is twice as few content, the mirage door has been replaced by a 'freeze pear' which does less than the last game's special thing did. And the dragon coins don't give you a special room of some kind, and the abilities you gain from it aren't as awesome. Your flames go just a little bit further (a third flame would have been awesome!), you're invincible a bit longer after hits, and you have a third wing flap. All just minor things that don't make feel like one epic dragon. ;P And collecting extra hearts and powers inside of levels just feels more rewarding than buying them with gems that you'll never have a shortage of.
All in all, while the other game had much more charm in all the places, this was a pretty good game while it lasted too. Expecting 8 full worlds in the next game! :P
This sequel is made to users who send us a lot of mails asking for new version and take a lot of their ideas. For sure will take notice of this, add new powerups and make a better game with more worlds, enemies and a lot of new features.
We love that you like the game. Thanks.
