this is the type of game you atleast hve to play . the story is wonderfull and the game is realy funny to play . even the slow walking helps to the atmosphere . keep on the good work and i hope to see a second part that explains some of the story . like john in his first days on the moon

I liked the atmosphere in the game. The music was minimalist and unsettling, the visuals were unnerving, and the plot was very well made. However, I feel this ultimately falls flat because of extreme amounts of linearity. There were many times I found myself only pressing one button at a time to either go forward or advance the text. I would try to go back, but it being an art game, it prohibited me from going backwards and as if to add insult to injury, my character walks almost agonizingly slow. I would get it if the character got slower over time, signifying their decent into madness, but the character maintains the same speed for the entire duration of the game.

This extreme linearity makes it very tedious to go through it multiple times which is required if I am to beat it entirely. This can be fixed in 1 of 2 ways as I see it. 1, up the character's walking speed, or 2, allow me to replay at a certain checkpoint in the story. This way, the game is much less frustrating to get through and we can more easily appreciate the story.

All in all, this game has a great story, but is ultimately bogged down by bad mechanical choices. Something makes me think that this would have been better suited as a CYOA style game where we'd watch the story unfold and be allowed choices at integral moments. While terrible mechanically, it has a good story, so I can't be too rough.

In reality there are points where the speed of the character change, when John gets scared walk fast as for example when he sees for the first time the entity, however thanks for the review.

Mate, appreciate your effort to make a movie to game adaption, first of, I love the movie, so lack of GERTY and its smiley face is totally unacceptable (Or maybe there is, I only played thorough once).
Second, the original movie doesn't have such suspension and scary factors, way to go.
Last, the walking speed is annoying for modern gamers who are quite used to the fast pace games they made these days, however I think adding the jump feature can somehow make it better, since I was misguided by NG thinking this game is a platform game with awesome moon gravity setting, obviously I was horribly wrong.

Overall, great game, keep it going mate.
