I think this should be a tradition : I release a new music video every year on the New Years Day. ^^

This is a joint music video me and a couple of my friends done. That's all I can say. ^^

Some people I forgot to thank but can't fit :

That was really great. Only thing that bothered me were that the ponies were gifs and just felt out of place.
Always try finding gifs with transparent backgrounds.

Yunguy1 responds:

I'll update the swf with the original animations soon... Maybe.

really sloppy work with the lines/transparency around the ponies, confusing lettering that does a lot of bouncing and flashing instead of showing up in the order people read, and really forced religious themes at the end that in no way show up in the rest of the video, which doesn't make any sense considering you're making a music video of a song by a christian band. Also, I found the letters popping up in the corner throughout the video HIGHLY annoying because the video didn't bother explaining what they were and i had to guess it was parts people worked on at the end, and by then i sure as frick wasn't going to watch that again.
This wasn't worth my time, and I am too hung over and not drunk enough for your preachy pony haphazard boxy letters thrown together poorly. The music was great, but that alone is not enough to make people sit and waste their time watching words happen out of order when they can hear them in the right order, unless it's somehow better than even that
1- sort the words around in the order people read
2- outline the ponies, fix the white squares that show up, pace them through more of the video so it flows with the song. Perhaps condense them to show up only in the chorus.
3- you had a guy just standing there panting for a whole stanza. not inspiring at all.
thats all i got.

Yunguy1 responds:

Surely this is called "Typography" for a reason. Plus the "enforced" religious act at the end is not forcing other people to convert. Not sure what you've been doing for your whole damn life, but that is just there for the connection of the song. It DOES make sense to the fact that in music videos, other people would put down quotes or verses from the Bible depending on what song it is. Also the words popping up in the corner are watermarks. Surely by your response, all you've been watching are animations that just show the animation itself and not the people's names on there. Yes those are our names, but it isn't too bothering from the many people I've got response from before I even released this.

1. The words appear in order of the words being sung. Surely people are smart enough to know that.
2. The pony outlines means that they are gifs. I do not have their file originally.
3. Why should it even be inspiring?

Well! It's been awhile since I've listened to any Christian Pop. Man...those were the days. Well, not really xD. Not because I don't like Christian Pop or anything, but you know how Youtube comments get when some random hater pops up and starts throwing his crap all over the place. Anyways, that aside, very nicely done!

I may be saying this because I'm just a total sucker for Typography, but I daresay you guys did a mighty fine job on it. I tend to classify any Typographies that I see within two categories, the kinetic and the organic (meaning a typography that focuses on a certain rhythmic order as opposed to a typography that focuses on having a very active "alive" feel to it), and this typography definitely incorporated characteristics from both elements. Combined with a catchy song, it's really one of those videos you'd find yourself tapping your foot to. Oh, and ponies. Who can forget ponies.

Great job guys, and hopefully, before anyone starts to bring up religion on the internet, I'll say this. There's a lot of different beliefs on the internet. Some people are Jewish, some are Muslim, some are Taoist, Buddhist, Shintoist, Scientologist, Atheist, and undoubtedly we have Christians. I myself am agnostic, but I think we can all enjoy a song with a nice video, and that's all this is. No one's forcing any beliefs on anyone else, so let's all shut up, and enjoy the music ;3.

P.S.-I liked the ponies and all, but might you consider inserting...alpacas in your next video? <wink wink nudge nudge>

Yunguy1 responds:

What's an alpacas? o3o

Thanks for the comment bro! I really appreciate it! ^^
