This game was designed in under 48 hours for the Ludum Dare #25 Compo with the theme "You Are The Villain."

There are many ways to end the game, but for 100%ers there are 3 designer-directed endings. (As opposed to a player-directed ending, which is when you decide to stop playing of your own volition rather than because I send you back to the title screen.)

In order to see the truly villainous ending you will need to kill some innocents.

For me, this was about questioning what villainy really is. Does killing the people who killed your brother make you a villain? What about killing the people who were there to back them up? What about killing the others in their organization? What about killing a god? Where along that spectrum do you become a villain?

Thanks for playing!

I liked this game! the story line was what drove me to play it again. the battle system was simplistic, perhaps too much so. the ability to move forward and backward, or a variation of attacks either from the player or enemy could make the battle more dynamic. Also a soundtrack could add so much to make the player get involved with the story. I love the mutliple storlines, the sounds were fun to listen to! Please make more!

I'm considering adding more features and polish to this game. The problem is that it was designed for a 48hr game design competition, so the code is all a huge house of cards. Adding new features or levels may make it all fall apart, so it would be somewhat tedious work to make the engine solid enough to integrate those new features seamlessly. Thanks for the feedback, though!

Wew,i give it 5 stars ;)
Why? because it's a pixel-art game.

josephmillertc responds:

Yo, you are easy to win over. :)

I now know how to guaranteed always get at least one 5-star rating on Newgrounds.

Plz answer me,what is the true ending?5/5 Stars because you have a lot of decisions, good sounds, and a good story.

josephmillertc responds:

There isn't really a true ending. As far as I'm concerned, letting yourself be killed in the first level for pacifist reasons is a "true ending," just as valid as the other endings that have more content before them. I may add more content for endings like that in the future.

cool story but poor gameplay

Is there something in particular you didn't like about it? Too repetitive? Too easy? Not complex enough?
