Knight Run is a fast-paced fighting game where your goal is to get as far as possible without dying. Along the way, you can fight enemies to gain experience and levels which allows you to learn skills to better fight off enemies.

This is only my second game, and it's just a completely reprogrammed version of the first one/first game I've made. (Next will be a completely different game, not Knight Run 3.)

I really appreciate any comments and constructive criticism you can give me. :)

=======How to Play=======
(Also available on the menu in-game.)
Arrow Keys -> Move
Spacebar -> Jump
Z -> Attack
X -> Block
C -> Skills Menu/Pause game
Double tap right/left -> Sprint
Attack while sprinting -> Sprint attack
Down arrow key while in air -> Jump attack

i sorta enjoyed it, it was a fun beat em up, could use a leveling up system, or maybe a dash attack, if you have some spare time then you could do a sort of minor customization, that would add some playability, but overall i though it was O.K!! :D keep at it

It does have a leveling system, though. :O Click the "C" button in-game to access the level menu. There aren't very many skills at the moment, but I'm working on adding more.

I like how different enemy combos give different tactical choices. Unfortunately, all my guy can do is swing his sword, and that's only if he's standing still. And I get the blocking mechanic, but it doesn't really help if you're already under attack. This same game would be playable much longer with a jump attack and only a few more upgrades (maybe a spell to take care of those wizards). And make the level cap higher if you're going by these little increments.

There actually isn't a level cap, it's a linear EXP system also, so it doesn't get ridiculously hard to level too fast. I'm working on implementing some attacks, and one of them is, in fact, a jump attack. I'm also planning to add a skill that'll clear the screen of enemies and another skill that clears enemies around you by knocking them back or something.

So, the game is pretty boring, run, kill, and level (which only has three skills, which i was disappointed with). During the first few mins i thought you would get to learn skills other then health, speed, and jump boost. The controls work for a side scrolling beat 'em up. another thing is the attack. Why couldn't you do a dash attack or jump attack? If it was your intention not to include them, that's fine. I'm just a huge castle crashes player, so i was kinda confused xP I would give this game a chance if you're just looking for something to do on a boring Christmas eve, or if you're trying to find something new to play. :)

I'm working on adding some different attacks at the moment, including a jump attack. I do have some ideas for dashing + a dash attack though. ;)

i didnt really care for this game. first of all leveling up does nothing. u should make an upgrade system or something once u level up. also you cant attack or block while moving so when you try to get up to an archer or a mage and theyre shooting you theres nothing u can do about it. i did like the idea just give it a little more work.

Well that's why you can move up and down, to get out of the way of projectiles. ;)
And there are skills (although limited) which give you perks when you put skill points on them.

The up arrow key makes the character move up already....
