The Distortion

Deep within the heart of the musical dimension, the "Infrastella ", a powerful and destructive entity has formed due to the high frequency of negative sound waves. To stop this dark force, one of the Celestrial beings that protect this world; Celeste, has come fourth to eliminate this unwanted entity.

This was a short animated film that i completed for my " 2D character animation " unit at University. Over all i was satisfied with the end result. It was such a busy and stressful time, so to see it completed really makes me happy. Off course, during its production a lot of things were changed and edited in the animation due to loss of time, i thought before uploading this piece i would go back and re-edit the animation and touch up on those sections. But i decided i would leave it as is, so the viewers can see what i came up with during the small time frame i had the hectic chaos that is university.

I have not completed a full animation in a long time, so i am glad i was given the opportunity to work on something ad actually finish it.
On another note, it may be safe to LOWER YOUR QUALITY SETTINGS if you do not have a fast processor/internet or what ever, it may lag a fair bit other wise.
That being said, i hope you all enjoy !

not bad animation though I think the movements could've been more fluid but overall pretty good it's like an anime version of Tron except better

Even with it being so short i felt a certain kind of connection to the world you created. I would love to see more! You started with an amazing concept and if you follow through im sure your work will be appreciated. 4 stars only because the length. Graphics were great. Music was epic.

I was impressed, and I can see you garnered inspiration from 'Black Rock Shooter' or whatever it's called. I was so impressed that I was left in the dark when it ended so soon. While it didn't have any lines in it, the emotions were well proportioned to the setting and mood. A lot of the 'magic' of the world was explained through the character's interactions (i.e. the sword appearing and the neon portions). A good effort, but it left me wanting more. I think you can push yourself a bit harder.

Thank you very much for your comments ! Indeed BRS is a huge inspiration to me and has influenced my style and design very much so. Im glad that the setting and aura worked well with you and that you felt a little something by our protagonist Celeste.
As previously mentioned though, i would love to do a full blown animation using the same scenery and concept, but given the 40 seconds i had to animate something, all i could do was experiment.

Hopefully if the time gods of the future allow it, ill be able to expand on this scenario.
