A rant about gay marriage and the people who are against it.
Brilliant logic. The background was somewhat bland, but I enjoyed watching it so I suppose that doesn't really matter.
I would also like to point out one simple fact to all the people that have argued or will argue that marriage is a religious institution and should be treated as such. For most of history, throughout all the cultures and societies of the world, marriage was regarded as nothing more than a long-term business contract, a way to establish a relationship between two families for the purpose of trade and other business transactions. It had no ties to religion whatsoever. The religious aspect was added within the last two millennia among certain cultures and societies. To this day, the average citizen in many countries would be confused if you told them that marriage was a religious institution, because they cannot conceive of it as such.
I enjoy the way the material was presented, while the flash itself was not entertaining, the counterparts made up enough to hold my interest throughout to the end. It's humorous yet serious, without blatantly refusing any rights of any kind, and in my opinon, better expresses what I'd like to say to the world about my love of the females. Thank you, Jonathan. Your work always warms the cockles of my black heart.
I have an issue with your logic. Marriage is, and has always been, a religious institution. It seems reasonable that the religion assiciated with it should be able to dictate the conditions of its use. Of course, these religious unions have been incorporated into the American government, not just Christian unions but Jewish and many others. These religionss should not be punished becuase the government was stupid enough to do exactly what it said it didn't want, combine church and state. Instead of allowing homosexuals to be "married" why not just expand the legal implications of marriage to any sort of union and call it something like a "union". Then, if you want a religion associate with your "union" you can call it whatever that religion calls it, like "marriage". Then the religions associated with their respective unions can dictate their use, but they would not be able to keep people from being "united", just "married" under their god. If there are Christian homosexuals out there opposed to this, well then they need to realize that their way of life is completely contradictory to their religion (no offense to christians or homosexuals). See? Problem solved. They should elect me president.
