this one's about a polar bear
here's a link to the band's page:
Great animation and I liked the song, fit together perfectly.
Thanks! I'm also happy with how well the tones matched.
Te animation is quite nice, though slightly repetitive. It could've used a little more variety, and having the polar bear walking and only the background changing to convey the sense of travel was nice (although slightly overused) the first time. The third, I was weary.
The song was nice though and fit really well with the animation. But I felt cheated by the ending. I fell that ending whatever with "...but it was just a dream" is cheating the audience out of a proper ending and is one of the cheapest gimmicks for giving a punch to a piece. If not for that, I would've given at least one more.
Nonetheless, keep up! I'm sure there's even better stuff where that game from!
Well, I can't argue with your opinion. Suffice it to say that I'm sorry you did not enjoy what I had planned out as the driving image and thematic style behind this animation.
As for the ending, that came about with the final chord of the song being strummed in a different manner. After listening to the song a few times while story boarding, I decided there was no other way to end it; couldn't be a happy ending on that note. There were, however, a few other scrapped ideas for the ending (one where he drowned, one where he was killed by the gunshot, and one where he died in the desert), but I felt that none of them conveyed the same idea of emotional isolation that was such a prevalent theme of the short. I do sincerely thank you for the honest thoughts, though.
What if I told you I hit the repeat button 10 times>?
I would say that I'm quite flattered
Loved your story and the music is great, good job!
I'll pass on the compliments to the musicians! Thanks!
