How is hardcore mode supposed to work? I cant play for more than 10 secs without the double jump thing.

Hi, sorry for the late response!
The hardcore is supposed to work together with Achievements. More achievements you get will give you more points for the hardcore mode and also other bonuses like more fire rate, damage, more bonuses spawn rate and so on. Right now i've uploaded another version of this game, giving more power to body upgrades, added another bonus and so on.. hope you will enjoy the game :)

AWESOME! Although the game mechanics are not original at all, you have done such a great job here; Art style and music are both totally retro, not by just drawing raw paint-sprites or degrading the music to as few bit as possible, but by using limited capabilities to their full extend.
But WTF??? WHAT kind of scientist dresses up as superman and shoots stuff from his hand, while escaping from a giant army of flying animals, by JUMPING??? The creativity of your work is incredible. I mean: Rocket-Catheads shooting lasers? Green fairy-dogs breathing fire? GANGSTER RACCOONS? I'm just so amazed by this game, I can't even really tell why.
The only thing that still confuses me, is the fact, that this monkeys seem to throw bananas, instead of shooting something. It's actually pretty damn logical, but out of context.
