May 8, 2014: A sort of sequel is here: "Pico: Will It Slice?"
Oct 31: Thank you for the front page! :)
Nov 1: fixed bug where you could "slice yourself"

Will the new experimental weapon slice through the zombie outbreak?

Stop the zombie outbreak! Madness Style!

FAQ Answers:
Yes, the game is short due to not having enough time + too many issues popping up. However, now that the engine is done, there WILL BE an expanded version for Madness Day 2013! :)

Since this is a scaled back "demo", having headshots would make the game way too easy. The full version will have headshots and MOAR weapons, MOAR upgrades, MOAR enemy types, MOAR action, MOAR MADNESS!!!

For now enjoy it as a Halloween game!
Happy Halloween!
Thank you!

the game is really decent. there are a couple of problems that i found wile playing it.

1. (this is said a million times watching the reviews.) a zombie should get killed if you take off his head.
2. the shotgun laser is much more powerful. its basically just three single point lasers although for some reason i found that the single point laser could kill zombies more easy when they came closer, that might just be me though.
3. why is there a next and a previous weapon button when you just have 2 guns? its seems pointless.
4. some levels are just the same with 5 zombies more or less. and its not really any more of a challenge.
5. sometimes i shoot trough a zombie because he's to close to me. and i have to run wile getting jumped by more and die because of it. that is annoying.

really like the mechanics of the zombies falling apart though. hope to see more of this. its a great base to start a part 2 on or some more stuff for madness day.

Great! So..where's Stickman Sam 5? I can wait patiently. I would love a estimated release date on it's release though.

It's a good game, I'd like it to be expanded as you said, but I will point out some things:

First thing, the charged beam gives me the impression it will pierce through anything, and actually the animation of the beam does so until it hits a wall, but I found that the laser only affects the first zombie it touches. That would not have bothered me if it weren't because the dead corpses stopped my shots to frequently.

Second, I don't see any advantage to using the single laser in front of the triple laser. Both have (apparently) the same charge time, same fire rate and same fire power, so I don't understand what's the single laser for. Maybe in the final game you'll make the triple laser an upgrade that has to be achieved somehow, but in this game there isn't any reason to use the single laser.

Third, I found impossible to beat the last level. I tried it 3 times, and after killing 15 zombies the zombie counter stayed at 15 of 15 but the end level gate didn't open. Maybe a zombie that doesn't spawn correctly.

Otherwise, I liked it a lot, and I hope my review is useful to improve it.

IstvanOrosi responds:

Thanks for mentioning the last level. I was testing something and forgot to change the code back.

This is just a "demo" of the upcoming game. That game will have better upgrade system (including slicing through multiple targets) but I wanted to release something that was reasonably fun and challenging. In this game the triple laser actually charges slower. This does make a difference if you are being attacked by multiple enemies.
