Author Comments

Originally designed during the warm-up week prior to Ludum Dare 24, this version features higher resolution graphics, faster gameplay, and special cookie types.

The goal of the game is to eat as many cookies as possible. You accomplish this by ensuring each of your bites contains at least one chocolate chip (this increases and maintains your multiplier). You can only bite from the edges of the cookie, so place the center of your bite display over one of the edges of the cookie to start. Unlock more cookies as you gain points, but try to avoid biting a chocolate chip only halfway; it won't count toward your multiplier and that chip will no longer be of use to you.

Controls are all mouse-based. The mouse scroll-wheel (or the W and S key) adjusts the size of your bite, while left-clicking initiates a bite (release the mouse button to finish the bite) when the center of the bite display is over one of the edges of the cookie.

Now, eat to your heart's content!

If I use mouse scrolling then the whole page scrolls.

SestrenExsis responds:

If you use the "Launch Popup" button on the Newgrounds page, that should help. Or you can use the 'W' and 'S' keys instead.

Not as good as other games, but fun to play if you are bored.
I like the puzzle in this game, you need to think before you bite those chips.
Graphics do not impress me.It's like a game from '98.
Badges are really hard, how can I aquire the secret badge?

SestrenExsis responds:

Thanks for playing my game! Here's a hint for everybody on how to acquire the secret medal: Find the cookie that can be eaten whole in just one bite.

Thank you so much for posting your comment, you helped me discover the source of the problem some people have been having. My old computer finally died a few weeks ago, so now that I have a replacement, I finally see the error that some have been getting with the game, as I experienced it myself on the new machine. Due to error on my part, the game was cropped to the upper-left 500 x 500 pixels, although it didn't seem to affect my old machine, so I never noticed it. The window size has now been properly readjusted to 550 x 550, so it should now show up correctly on everyone's screen.

Once again, thank you so much, MikuZ, for pointing this out.

Several people seem to be having trouble either with making selections at the menu screen or playing the game itself. For those of you experiencing difficulties of this nature, the secret is to place your mouse cursor (the center of the red or black circle that represents your bite area) along one of the edges of the cookie on the screen. As you take bites, the edges will change, and you'll have to place your bite somewhere else.

Once you're in the game, each bite should contain at least one complete chocolate chip to boost your multiplier. If a chip is highlighted in red, then you don't have enough of it covered by your bite area to count.

I apologize sincerely for not making this more explicit in-game, and I hope this advice helps.
