I was enjoying the FUCK out of this cute, little game for the first half hour. Then the wait in order to continue playing? What is this? I thought this wasn't a facebook game, or an iPod/iPhone game where you play for 5 mins, making stuff that takes 12 hours and just checking on it.

I'll write this reveiw while I'm waiting for this game to load my next game...

This is a really cool concept for a game. It's pretty well made too. I could stand a LITTLE more explanation about what the craftsmen's skills do, but that's not really bothering me too much. The thing that DOES bother me about it, is it's totally an Free to Play model. Were you can play most of the whole game for free! But in order to unlock more content you must use "Tokens". You start out with 100. But after that you have pay in order to get more. Not to mention, that after maybe 5 or 6 days, it makes you wait to play the next day. But, of course, if you want to use tokens, you can play again instantly!

Even this doesn't really bother me THAT much. The free-to-play game model has been effective for companies in the past, and continues to be today. My problem is, that at no point, in the description of the game, does it mention that it follows the free to play model. And so the player is sucked into the game, and invests 5 or so in-game days worth of playing, and then, gets disappointed.

And that, is why the game gets 2.5 stars. Don't be mean to your players egebee. It's not nice.

For a free game this would be 3.5 or 4 stars. But for a pay to play game I cant give it more than 2.5.

The basic concept and content of this game is absolutely wonderful. The function of the game still has some quirky bugs that need to be addressed however. The music is soothing, breaking the somewhat monotonous task of queuing up crafting tasks. However, the pay-to-play concept similar to Kabam's ruby system and other "tokening" systems is reprehensible. The cooperation concept of upgrading by trading points with other guild members makes the task of upgrading nearly impossible. Overall, if this game were modeled as free and single player, it would be much more rewarding. 2 1/2 stars, remove the pay-to-play and guild garbage and you've got yourself a *real* game.
