This game's concept is actually very awesome... and honestly this would become a really amazing MMO.

What people don't understand about this game is it is supposed to be real time... games like tribal wars are similar to this, so there isn't an issue with actual game mechanics... that's just synonyms with the damn genre of games this game is in! (so stop whining about the timer -_-)

Secondly, you are haggling the player too much with the tokens. You don't need to put it in our faces so much, just tell us it's there, that we can make things in the game run x20 smoother but don't advertise too much about it. Remember, you need to make your game cool first, and have a solid reputation BEFORE you can even think about advertising as much as you do (but you've got a fairly okay fan base so far... 100k views in more then a week is kina alright for ng.)

Last of all, I don't know whether it's a bug or just something that I haven't done yet, but for some reason, I can't improve my shop via the "coperation" system thingy. I have tried to open up on one of my staff's pop up, but none of my upgrades are appearing. Whether it's something you left out in the turoial, or it's a bug, I suggest you look into it pronto! It kinda sucks wasting 1k coins just to realise you can't do anything with it.

In conclusion:
~ FUCKING AWESOME CONCEPT!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I love it! and many people do as well)
~ Needs a tiny bit less advertisement (it makes you look desperate <_< sorry if that was harsh -.-)
~ Bugs in the improvment system (you know... the thingy with the "handshake" icon that lets you create stuff that you buy via the improvements thingy... ya know? XD)

Anyways... just writing this to pass the time... (damn timer >_>)

I love the game. t's the kind of 'run your own shop' game without cleaning tables. Brilliant! My only concern, as stated by others, is that its P2P. I wouldn't mind paying if the game was more "interactive" (actually moving your character, doing odd mini-games here and there) but to be honest all this game lets you do is sit and wait and watch NPCs run in and out, not accepting your suggestions (whether they are good or not) and watching two other NPCs do all of the work. Keep the tokens in, if you wish, but making me pay to actually play the game isn't a good idea. All said, this IS a good game. I'd never stop playing it, that is until you cut me off.

I'm not againist pay to play like some other people, and I don't see why it shouldn't be in Newgrounds. The thing that makes your game particularly annoying with it is that it seems that the game is not made to be fun either with or without the player paying, but to annoy the player into buying the tokens. That's not nice. Take Sands of the Coliseum, for example. They use P2P, but it doesn't bug you into it or offer some feaures you can only get with special currency. Not to mention all the indie games which just ask for contribuitions, and still put it completely out of your way. If you want profit, play nice and let us play nice. I don't know if the business is working for you, but "you failed to haggle the price of game tokens 17%"

Other than that, it's a great game. The length of the researches increases too quickly, making it impossible to rush researches, but that's alright. I found the features quite creative, but the sound slightly repetitive. Also, the whole concept of the game is amazing. Congratulations on it, I just hope you make it less annoying and I'll play. Maybe even pay.

The game is fun until you realize that you have to pay to do anything worth while. In the meantime, yo have to depend on NPC's to bring in goods (which is by total luck), to sell things as your rep grows. Also, I bought improvements and even a third room for a blacksmith (in addition to my carpenter and tailor). Nothing ever materialized or improved my characters stats that I could percieve. Also I thought maybe when I moved to the city I would have a bigger shop so my blacksmith would show up. This did not happen. So I am guessing that you have to pay to see the improvements come into fruition.

Also, do not turn down sales of items so readily. For example, a pair of soft leather gloves normally sells for 70 gp. You can try to haggle a customer for a higher price, but most likely you will lose a sale. I found that as long as I made triple the material cost of the item, sell it.

So after playing this game up o 157 game days and wnt bankrupt, I have decided that this game will never "cut loose" until you are willing to pay to play. Which is what I see a lot of people here in Newgrounds screaming about.

I have also noticed no interaction from edgebee whatsoever. Which tells me that the only thing they are looking for, are the number of hits they get to polish their marketing strategy to pilfer your debit cards for frivilous purchases on the game. Of course they do have a route where you can get free coins, but at a cost of heavy obligations and/or spamming the crap out of the email account you used to complete their surverys to getfree coins.

Also, if you do want to torture yourself, as I did, and play the game out. Here is a big tip once you've played all the free days and the 7 days you can buy with coins. After the first wait, leave the comp or site for an hour then come back. You'll get 3 or 4 "free" days to play in a row, so the game isn't too boring.

Thugs were utterly useless and a waste of money. And a thug came to my shop asking for protection money. After 7 days of choosing "come back" (just don't choose to pay them or refuse), they disappear.

Edgebee, the game is a nice shop simulator, but your insidious method of bait and hook sales tactics are unethical.

It's a solid product. You have the hook, 'run your shop and progress'. Its easy to get into, has some customization, and you feel the 'progress' early on enough that you want to continue playing.

Not a fan of the 'pay or wait' but at the same time, I didnt care because I hadnt played long enough to be 'hooked'. As soon as that screen appeared, I walked away.
