Once in a while the living have rare dreams. They dream of the secret passageways in the bowels of reality and the Darkness guarding their reverie. The passageways are winding and deceitful. The Darkness is hungry in its thousand forms. Yet a man of spirit will challenge them and, in the chaos of bleak mazes, he will find the way to the Scarlet Door, and behind it - Freedom.

Fourteen levels of breath-taking adventure set in grim world of madness made reality. Catacombs, poisoned collectors, underground laboratories and even the depths of Hell will become arenas for violent battles with the spawns of Darkness.

A wide variety of weapons all the way from shotgun to plasmagun and demonic abilities will help the brave men to dominate the battlefield, turning their enemies into clouds of blood-stained fog. Modern graphics and intensive, really cool game-play in keeping with the best traditions of classic FPS. All of it - in Dark Soul: Path of Awakening.

seriously? if you try to shoot at point blank range (not even aiming) you still can't manage to kill them

This is a bad game.
It attempts to be scary but fails so hard it actually hurt me.
It has a sort of unique story behind it, but this game fails to deliver.
It's like one of those duck shooting gallerys at the carnavle. It sever really drew me in, and totally missed my sweet spot for horror games. What is a horror game where you can get a plasma cannon. really.. I guess you could get away with that in doom, but that is because you went exploring for yer stuff! not here. no. here you have everything you will ever need flung into yer face from the get-go.

Another thing that bothered me was the enemies. At first they seemed sorta interesting, but like the environments, are overused, and sickening.

I find this game really hard to review, there are just so many many things that went wrong here. i cant possibly keep this all straight. seriously, i opened the game expecting something delightfully terrifying, but no. oh no no no.. A horror game is a game that puts you in a vulnrable position. with no clear way out. and most importantly, paceing.

I wass hopeing for a little freedom, some room to explore. with only a flickery flashlight, and a bit of wood with a nail stuck in it. But no, run down the corrador, kill everything, break all the packages, and go through all the doors. then good for you.

I hate this game. I hate it for what it has done to my head, and the brain cells it killed.
so please please!
MAKE A SECOND ONE!
or better yet, RE-DO THIS GAME!
There is a hint of something good here, a monster hunting game, maybe a try and escape a rape dungeon game.

play slender, That is a scary game. the bad guy is perfect. you dont know anything about him, he looks pretty normal, but my god. Thats how its done.

Good game. The appearance of the demons was mostly quite original, and the complete changes of scenery are an added bonus. The graphics and game play weren't 100% smooth but it was fast paced and fun as well as challenging. The end lines suggest a sequel if I'm not mistaken ;)
