This is my entry for 1st round of the NMAE tournament (made in 21 days). The theme was "sweet and sour". I wanted to challenge myself a bit, so I decided to go with something film noir-inspired.
To be honest I ended up getting a bit bored with this animation, and no matter how much I stared at it it didn't seem to help. Buuut at least I've got a list of things that worked as well as things that didn't now.

Outstanding. One of the best works of flash I've seen. Animation was better than a lot of television anime, if you ask me!
