You are stuck inside a nightmare dream. Something lurks in the darkness... Something in the depths of your own mind wants to pull you even deeper. Someone will escape this dream for sure. The question is - who is that going to be?

This was an entry into 10th Casual Gameplay Design Competition. Community of judges awarded it with the 1st place prize.

Bugs fixed:
- Volume resets after starting a new game
- Some important things doesnâEUTMt reset when restarting game
- Zooming out browser crops part of the game

I gave you only 4 cause some of the puzzles didn't make too much sense to me.
Btw is the golden statue a reference to Amnesia and Pewdiepie?

scared the he** out of me when those shadowy figures charged me..lucky i was able to react fast and escape them..phew..very good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Different, maybe even creepy, but the controls kill it for me. (Spoilers Included)

Creativity is a very good thing, so I have to applaud you for this game because it is oozing with random bits of interesting ideas. Firstly, with games like this I immediately think back to games like Shivers, Myst, Zork: Grand Inquisitor, etc., as my basis for all mystery puzzle type games. Knowing that this is only a flash game I tend to scale back any expectations, but I always believe there there should be a cohesiveness that drives the game. Granted I didn't get both of the medals, so there might be something that I missed, but baring a Return of the King type ending, I feel these things might have fallen through the cracks.

The thing I felt hurt the game the most were the controls. The worst were the movement controls, they were very difficult to locate and differentiate from active objects. You needed some kind of pointer to allow the player to actually know what directions were available for them to travel. The worst instance of this was the second room to the right of the bedroom, you could either go to the right and knock out the wall, or go down stairs. Because both were on the same side of the map it was hard to tell what was active, and what was just there for show.

The other thing that really hurt the game for me was the fact there was little or no orientation for each scene. I really couldn't tell whether or not I had just walked out of the downstairs door, or the top stairs door, whether or not I left the room on the left, or the room on the right. It was just a big ole' mess to be honest. The first stairwell down was the worst because even trying to climb the stairs you had the exact same scene as you did for descending, which I thought was a glitch at first and only proved to be disorienting in the long run. The beach was one of the few areas were there was some orientation, but even then it was hard to differentiate what was what.

I did find it hard to tell was was an active object in the game vs. what was just an object that was just different from the background. If an object is an active object then the area I can click on to activate it needs to be large enough that I can easily click on it. Trying to pick up objects like the bone, batteries, and other small objects would require more than two clicks. Granted it's nitpicking, but if I'm using this object, and it's important, than give me a good view to add it to my inventory rather than having to going into a clicking frenzy. I found a few objects that served no real purpose other than an attempt to give more depth to the game, which really took away from the general idea of the game in the long run.

Again, I felt the creativity was there, and applaud all the work that went into this game, and really enjoyed the hazy graphics overall. The only exceptions were that I found the boiler room puzzle to be little difficult to view, and a little tedious. And having to close the door on the one creature because they were charging me was just ridiculous, I had to use the walk through on that because dying in a game like this was like dying in Myst, it just doesn't work with the overall game play.
